South African Dinky 194
Dinky 194 Bentley Coupe. Rare SOUTH AFRICAN issue in CREAM. Very near mint/boxed. From A Phenomenal Collection.
Notes
Unfinished models were exported to South Africa from 1966. They were sent as castings and painted and assembled there, largely as a way of getting around the laws prohibiting export of finished goods to South Africa at this time. All housed in Dinky boxes with some Afrikaans text and of course most importantly the Arthur E.Harris print on the box.
Finished in an attractive gleaming deep cream with deep red seating, driver. Shiny spun wheels, bright chrome, gloss base (minor marking), South African rivets, and black fine tread tyres.
Mere negligible mark or two if you peer most minutely. Rubbing to the over-rider finish. Minor surface marking to one side of the windscreen.
The correct Arthur E. Harris Dinky box is complete, and bright (and rather good for a South African Dinky box!). All end flaps are firmly attached. Light wear and a small area of surface loss at an end flap. White card packing ring.
One of the rarest Dinky models.
