It has been a while since we have offered this colour issue for sale.
This Big Bedford Lorry has a mid-blue cab and chassis, with yellow back and wheels. Issued between 1952-54.
Close scrutiny reveals a small factory paint blemish on one side of the cab ( we have seen this typical little ‘flattened’ area of paint where the model came into contact with something before it had completely dried). Several tiny dots to the yellow paint finish at the truck sides and and a little minor rubbing to the raised details of the rear wheel arches (minor). Occasional tiny mark besides. Lovely lustre shows that this model has been carefully handled and stored.
Note the unusual additional bumper detail – either a factory or later embellishment.
The box is a real treat with day-one vibrant colours on crisp barely handled card! Only the most minor age wear. Comes complete with the little card packing piece which fits behind the cab.
A lovely example in all original, barely touched condition from this collector.
