Notes

Seldom seen in any condition, this is a near mint example to fill that gap in your Dinky commercial collection!

Occasional little mark/light rub at a raised details as you might expect but crucially no touch-ins or repainting. Nice lustre and a shiny baseplate too. Note as is usual the earlier 522 numbering on the base, since a new casting was not made when the model was given the new number 408.
The yellow lift-off lid pictorial box is complete. A little childish imprint of writing on the base and a couple of drawings are largely erased on the lid. Puncture on one side of the lid. Minor wear besides. Note the most unusual colour finish of the model pictured on one side of the box. Needless to say a Big Bedford in yellow and white was never produced! (It should show a blue and yellow version).
Date of issue February 1956 ( Dinky stamp on the inside of the box lid).
