D430
Dinky 430 Breakdown Lorry. Very near mint/boxed. Very scarce colour issue in *cream with a mid-blue back*. A beautiful example from The Heart of England Collection.
Notes
Surely one of the most attractive Dinky trucks!
This rare version is in splendid, very close to mint, all original condition with a gleaming bright paint finish throughout. Rich cream cab and chassis and a distinctive mid-blue back with complete ‘DINKY SERVICE’ lettering in black on both sides. Red ridged wheels and smooth black tyres, shiny winding handle, including the cuff. Complete with a working original tow hook and string. Bright baseplate.
An outstanding display piece.
Notably, there is no paint loss at the tinplate jib. Factory assembly mark on the cream paint visible from the underside.
Couple of minor dots on the cream paint and a little rub or two at a body line detail on the blue sides ( probably due to a little polishing!).
The bright yellow and dark blue lift-off lid picture box is clean and vibrantly-coloured with none of the usual scuffs at corners, rubs at edges of the lid. However, at some time, labels were applied to the Dinky number on the lid and then removed (with slight resultant surface loss). No splits or graffiti.
