D281
Dinky 281 Luxury Coach. Scarce issue in cream with orange flash. Very, very near mint/boxed. From a single owner from new collection in Buckinghamshire. An exceptional example, both model and box.
Notes
Many items from this collection were bought new during the 1960?s, after enquiring in toyshops for old, unsold shop stock.
Issued between 1954-59 in various colour finishes, this example is one of the harder to find versions in cream (not the darker fawn version) with deep orange side flashes, cream wheels.
Nice lustre to the original finish, and just a tiny mark on the roof which may be possible to clean away.
The box is in virtually pristine condition too, with the correct colour spot. Neatly pencilled period price.
Surely one of the best surviving examples.
