D260
Dinky 260 Royal Mail Van. Very, very near mint/boxed. From The Buckinghamshire Collection.
Notes
Many items from this collection were bought new during the 1960?s, after enquiring in toyshops for old, unsold shop stock.
What a beauty! This classic Dinky Royal Mail is one from the range of smaller vans issued between 1955-61. This Morris ‘J’ van has such a gleaming, bright red finish with a black roof, detailed ‘Royal Mail’ transfers on both sides are perfect-very close to perfect.
Small area of paint bubbling on one side, low down (as-made).
The pictorial box is very fresh, bright and crisp. Lots of spring at the end flaps. No graffiti, but there is a handling tear to one small end flap.
