D983
Dinky 983 Car Carrier With Trailer. Excellent plus-very near mint/boxed. From The Berkshire Collection.
Notes
Issued between 1958-63 and comprises Dinky Supertoys 984 and 985, this two-part set has a vivid bright shining finish, and extremely bright metal parts throughout. A great display piece!
The Car Carrier is graded very near mint- vibrant, unfaded and unused. Thin light scratch on the tailboard and a couple of little marks besides.
The Trailer is graded excellent plus – it has four little chips on the top ramp and a few little tiny marks besides. Presents really well with a lovely vibrant lustre.
The “DINKY AUTO SERVICE” lettering is complete on both sides of both models. The top deck of the car carrier can be raised and lowered by turning the handle at the side – this works well. Eight Dinky cars can be accommodated on the carrier and trailer. What a great display piece in your collection!
The very large STRIPED SUPERTOYS box is clean, bright and complete with no corner splits! Such a large card box nearly always sustains some wear – this box has a small scuff on one edge of the lid. Minor age wear besides and 2 small punctures to the underside of the base. No internal packing pieces with this example. Faintly penciled period price of a whopping 38/6!
