In completely original condition with a bright vibrant colour finish. This model has been locked away in storage for many years by an eccentric and prolific collector of toys, books and stamps, who has recently passed away.
We have graded this model as excellent. It is the correct and untampered 1st issue with dimpled post bosses on the underside, tanker slots, large painted hook and early radial tyres

1st type radiator grille. Absolutely no retouching, varnishing, silvering etc. Head-on the cab looks near mint.

Paint wear at the places you would expect – tops of chain posts,

edges of cab roof, exposed edges of flat bed, and at wheel arches.

Silver flashes are perfect. Posts are all straight with no signs of ever needing repair.

A little rust at the head of the bolt – further testimony that it has never been tampered with! Minor rusting at some of the axles.

The box is extremely good with minimal wear – no splits or graffiti and traces of maroon paint inside the lid and base.
An extremely scarce model – so much better than the few we have seen for sale.
