D470
Dinky 470 Austin Van "SHELL". Very near mint/boxed. From The Berkshire Collection.
Notes
This Dinky advertising van is in fine, all-original condition, with complete ‘SHELL’ and ‘BP’ transfers on both sides and at the rear. This model has a gleaming bright paint finish. Baseplate is shiny, with n tarnishing. None of the usual chipping at the front bumpers. Usual small light rub (from box contact) at the raised roof detail!
Couple of little raised casting dots on a wheel spat and another on a wheel arch edge. As-made. Being extra-fussy here!
The pictorial card box is really crisp, bright and fresh and feels as if the end flaps have been opened just a couple of times.
Shopkeeper’s price is pencilled on one box face and there is a smudge at this site too.
