D413
Dinky 30S/413 Austin Covered Wagon. Two tone blue issue. Very near mint/boxed. From 1954. One of 2 items just released from one of the most exacting collector's personal stash of models.
Notes
Looking day-one bright and fresh, this is a gleaming Austin Covered Wagon finished in two-tone blue, matching light blue wheels, bright baseplate and metal parts. In fine all original condition with a beautiful sheen:
Close inspection reveals a couple of not full thickness rubs at the rear of the roof and another small one at the side of the roof. These marks do not really detract from the close to pristine appearance of this Dinky Wagon.
The more unusual dual-numbered box (marking the transition from 30S to 413 in 1954) is very nice indeed. Crisp card is clean and bright with the correct ‘in the print’ colour spot. mInor edge crumple and a tiny light flick of pen on one picture surface. Hard to find these early boxes this good!
