D290
Dinky 290 Double Deck Bus 'DUNLOP'. Very near mint/boxed. Scarce version with SPUN WHEELS! From a lifelong collector in Devon, England.
Notes
Issued during 1963 with a type 3 Leyland grille, this classic Dinky bus with spun wheels is a difficult version to find. This example presents well with a lustrous original deep green and cream paint finish, treaded tyres. Complete lettering on both sides (raised casting dot on one letter).
Just one little mark to the paint finish and a few mere dots besides. This is a very nice fresh example of a scarce variation!
The correct lighter yellow pictorial box is vividly-coloured, complete with all end flaps. Slightly mottled now, hard to fault otherwise. Crisp feel to the card. Correct colour spot for this version.
The best example we have seen in a long while.
