Corgi 218 Aston Martin DB4. Yellow, cast criss- cross wheels issue. Very near mint/boxed. Lovely example in a very crisp box from the 1200 model Italian collection.
Notes
Issued between 1961-62, this is the slightly later version of the Aston Martin, with a fresh, shining primrose yellow finish, red interior and detailed cast ‘criss-cross’ wheels with suspension. Open bonnet vent.
Minute scrutiny reveals the faintest grubbiness on the roof and a barely visible casting mark on the bonnet. All original paint finish gleams!
The box is complete, really crisp, bright and fresh with plenty of spring in the end flaps (hard to prise open). Tiny wear only. Shopkeeper’s pencilled price at an end flap.
Nice example of a popular Corgi car which is more unusual with these criss-cross wheels.
