D412
Dinky 412 Austin Wagon. *Rare powder blue issue*. Very, very near mint/boxed. Exceptional! From a specialist Dinky collection in the North Of England.
Notes
Issued between 1954-60 in four different colour finishes, this powder blue version is in outstanding condition – and so rare! A striking and eye-catching truck on display:
Such a lustrous sheen to the paint finish too. Complete and intact original radiator and headlight assembly with original detailing, contrasts nicely with the powder blue finish. Bright baseplate and the tyres look as-new! Obviously a cherished piece that has barely been handled.
Upon the closest scrutiny, you will see a couple of negligible rubs at side raised detail and a few near-microscopic dots at a wheel arch.
The pictorial box is complete, bright and fresh, with all end flaps and no tears. Correct colour spot at the end flaps too.
The word ‘red’ has been written neatly at one end flap and there is a small rubbed area at the other end flap, where an original price has been erased. Small crease.
A very difficult one to resist – a first rate investment piece and a joy to own!
