D281
Dinky 281 Luxury Coach. Mid blue, cream flash, lemon wheels. Near mint plus/boxed. Scarce version. From a Dinky specialist's stash of models.
Notes
Issued between 1954-60 in various colour finishes, this being one of the more difficult versions to find – and probably the most attractive! Fine original lustre.
Upon close scrutiny, one will fnd a little mark and a couple of small scratches on the roof (barely visible). Couple of little marks at a wheel arch, and some faint rubbing to the cream flash on one side.
The box is complete, vividly-coloured and crisp, with the correct colour spot on the end flaps. A little crumpling to the tuck-in part of one large end flap and minor wear besides. No tears. Shopkeeper’s period price on one box face.
Nice example of this model in this scarce colour finish.
