Notes

An early classic Foden model – this particular version was made between 1947-48 only. It has a close to perfect, distinctive dark grey cab and back with a vivid red flash, chassis and hubs.

Correct with no tank slits or chain post bosses on the base, small tow hook.

D501v1075

Complete with all original and correct herringbone tyres including the spare. 20mph sign in place on a rear wheel arch.
On closest inspection, one will see a scattering of very light pin prick marks on the bed and a few little marks on the fuel tank. Couple of raised casting dots on the roof. Bright metal parts. This model has been carefully handled and stored. No touch-ins or repainting on this fine model.
The early buff card box with a paper label is most attractive with a strongly-coloured paper label (couple of very tiny edge nibbles).

D501v1076

Correct early ‘colour spot’ at the lid end which is a daub of the dark grey paint. Discreetly repaired small corner split. No graffiti. Nice example.
