Notes
This eye-catching Dinky commercial was made during 1953-56 and is a sought-after Dinky model. Especially desirable, since this model comes with the dual-numbered box.
This particular example is in close to mint condition, with a vibrant deep red paint finish, 2nd type cab, black ladder and black filler caps. The occasional little scratch/mark to the side transfers and a couple of dabs of white to the white background of the rear transfer. Flick of factory red too. None of the usual corrosion to the tank. The paint finish is virtually mint save for one negligible dot at a wheel arch. Super display piece with a day-one lustre.
The excellent dual-numbered box is complete, clean and bright with minimal wear and no splits at corners. Note the dual-numbering at the box end which dates this particular example from 1954.
