Notes
The early issue of this classic Dinky toy made between 1952-54. In all original condition, this Commer Fire Engine has a bright red finish (no sunfading!) with a silver extending ladder and both shining bells on the roof.
Just a few small chips at the front bumper and the occasional little mark besides. Tyres would benefit from a careful cleaning. The topmost ladder has lost a good deal of its silver paint at the top edges.
Note that this example has copper tension fixing which hold the ladders in place when extended – good design point!
The blue and white striped Dinky Toys box is complete although rubbed and the staples are rusty. No splits of graffiti!
