Sought after models that are so difficult to find in good condition! Dinky dies were sold to the Indian Firm S. Kumar & Co. trading as Atamco. (1968-70). Often known as Indian-Dinky toys, the finish was poor in comparison. Earliest issues were simply known as Indian Dinky toys and later they would be called Nicky toys.
A close to mint example of the Indian Dinky Mercedes finished in vibrant metallic blue with original bright chrome details, off-white interior, black steering wheel, and intact window glazing. Silver and black plastic one-piece tyres/wheels.
A rare issue.
Scratch on the roof.
Shiny black base with all Dinky Toys details obliterated with simply 186 product number.
Few tiny marks to the paint.
The colourful correct early box (S. KUMAR & CO Calcutta) has very little of the usual wear (for this range). Hard to find so good!
