A delightful and scarce find Issued 1940 (dated on lid side).
In camouflage finish with a black base, this harder to find version of the Armstrong Whitworth Whitley Bomber has the red and blue RAF roundels on both wings and smaller red white and blue roundels on the sides. Silver trim. Red propellers.
Model measures approx 95mm. tip to tail.
Few little marks.
Vividly-coloured RAF blue lift-off lidded card box adds to the appeal. Informative print on the lid. Diny date Aril 1940 on on side of the lid.
Very light wear – hard to find this good!
