Notes
An essential item in your Dinky commercial collection, this Guy van was made during Dinky’s heyday and is part of the sought-after range of advertising vans made during the mid-late 1950’s.
In very near mint, all original condition throughout, this ‘Ever Ready’ model has a shining mid-blue paint finish and virtually perfect detailed transfers on both sides.
Upon close inspection, one may see a little casting defect just above the letter ‘S’ of batteries – otherwise difficult to fault!
There is a little light peppering to the lettering above the cab.
None of the usual marks at wheel arches, cab roof etc. (indeed the cab is mint) – this van is in exceptional fresh and bright, unused condition throughout!
There are a couple of the tiniest dots at the rear door handles as is so usual for this model, and a couple of micro dots besides. A little rusting to the metal posts at the rear doors.
Bright baseplate with spare wheels stowed:
The box is very fresh and bright with only the most minimal wear.
Dinky stamp inside the box lid dates this particular example from 1955.
An outstanding addtion to your collection – rare to come up for sale in this condition, nowadays!
