Notes
This classic Dinky Rover Saloon was made between 1956-59 in this two-tone green finish. Wonderfully glossy finish and note this particular colour version (brighter green lower & not so pale green upper) is subtly different from the other version, also available from this collection at time of writing.
Note that this example has the large print and 156 on the shiny baseplate. Treaded tyres (late feature) too.
For comparison only, please take a look at this example on the left when placed alongside the version with a deeper green lower and a paler green upper:
Pleasing lustre to the original paint finish throughout. Virtually mint paint finish. Note the small speck of stray factory casting above the rear number-plate detail.
The pictorial box looks like old shop stock! Vivid colours on crisp card. Later ‘in the print’ two-tone green colour spot at the end flaps. Tiny wear.
