Produced by Tekno for the exhibition ’EXPO 58 Bois Manu. The first post-war world fair held at the Heysel Plateau, just north-west of Brussels (April -October 1958). For more information, this link is fascinating!

852 Mercedes Truck with ‘Bois Manu’ on base. Finished in light blue & pale grey with yellow plastic roof insert. Shiny wheels and fine-tread, well-shaped original tyres. Deeper blue rivetted base with ‘Made for Boismanu Belgium 1958’.
These models nearly always have substantial transfer loss – This example has close to complete transfers at the sides and at the rear. Tow hook. Distinctive colourful card box is vivid and complete. Note Expo 58 print. Light wear and a faint period pencilled writing on one side.
