Notes
This scarce issue was made during 1954-55. Vivid scarlet red cab and chassis, mid blue back, mid-blue ridged hubs. Large painted hook. Second type cab so this model has triangular lugs at either side of the front number plate.
Bolt fixing and an untarnished baseplate. Silver trim. Paint finish is vibrant and glowing. Complete with spare wheel.
In all original condition.
Marked Dinky Toys on the base.
Usual little chips at the tow hook (so often touched in by a later hand). Little rough casting at the back of the roof and that’s about it! Well-shaped smooth original tyres.
The blue and white striped ‘DINKY TOYS’ picture box is complete and bright. Lightest wear. Deep blue base has shelf rubbing. Very light wear besides. Dinky stamp inside the box lid dates this particular example from June 1955. Correct Dinky colour spot on a lid end.
