This is the most difficult Dinky VW version to source (allowing for the South African issues of course), and was made towards the end of a long production run. This example is in very close to mint condition with a distinctive sky blue original finish, deeper blue plastic wheels and the correct matte baseplate.
Barely a mark to the paint finish. Little factory drip of silver paint near a headlight.
The correct later issue pale yellow card box is complete and vividly-coloured with the correct ‘blank’ spot at the end (not an over-sticker as was used with the earlier boxes, but imprinted on to the card). Crisp. Period penned price and lettering on an end flap.
