Early examples from 1948-49 with open wheel arches with condition ranging from near mint plus – very near mint:
1) 3 x fawn finish with matching wheels, small baseplate print with rails and the rear axle is secured by means of a tinplate clip.
2) 3 x fawn finish with matching wheels, small baseplate print with rails. Transition issue with rear axle retained with baseplate tabs (also used for the second issue with closed spats).
The bright yellow Trade Box is complete and bears the red U.S. export label on the lid. Period shopkeeper’s U.S. pricing and writing on the lid. Ink smudge.
