Notes
This is the slightly later issue – made between 1961-69 with window glazing and a red-backed ‘Euclid’ logo at the sides. Such a fine Supertoy from Dinky’s heyday; surely every child from the mid 50’s-60’s remembers it well! Very difficult to find absolutely mint, this is one of the nicest examples we have seen in a while. The truck has a lovely bright yellow, all-original paint finish, perfect “Euclid” lettering, logo, and wording on both sides.
None of the usual rubbing on the raised ‘ribs’ of the tipper etc., there are just a few little marks at exposed edges.
Of course, there are the unavoidable marks underneath casued by the operation of the tipping mechanism. Mechanism for raising and lowering the tipper works well.
Correct that this later issue would have a part metal, part plastic winding handle.
The unusual pictorial end flap box is bright, and clean with all end flaps present. Correct that this late issue should have this style of box. Usual wear at end flaps and corners, and at some time, the winding handle pierced the box at one side, although this has pressed back into place.
