Corgi Toys 497 Man From UNCLE Thrushbuster
The Man From U.N.C.L.E. Thrushbuster by Corgi Toys, No. 497. Very, very near mint/boxed. Purplish-blue issue. SPUN WHEELS. Orange section on plinth. Early issue with METAL (not plastic) spotlights. With original card ring. From The Bluehouse Collection.
Notes
Issued between 1966-69, this Oldsmobile car has a gleaming, deep purple-blue finish, complete, clean and fresh bonnet logo, bright chrome parts, a scarce find with spun wheels. Fine original tyres. If you press the roof periscope the figure moves from side to side to shoot the enemy! A sought-after Corgi model; this is the earliest version of the Thrushbuster with metal spotlights (to dazzle the enemy!).
A wonderful example in virtually mint condition!
The clean and bright card plinth is the version with an orange rectangular section. Small tear.
Lots of info about the U.N.C.L.E organisation on box reverse as well as pictures and signatures of the T.V. series protagonists.
The outer box is bright, clean and complete. Crisp feel. Very light wear. With card packing ring.
