This collection represents a lifelong deep appreciation of Dinky Toys, Britains models, Minic models and more primarily from the 1940’s & 50’s. All British made diecast and tinplate models. Proceeds going to charities close to his heart.
A scarce set that contains wonderfully detailed figures all still strung to the clean lemon-cream card inner. Virtually mint – mint figures that do not ever appear to have been removed from the box. Doctor, 2 Orderlies and 2 Stretcher Parties with Patients in battledress, 2 Nurses, 2 Nurses in khaki dress and a Female Driver.
With Britains factory Quality Control Slip.
Sleek matte military green Ambulance (round-nosed) with large Red Cross labels. Rare 3rd version with split windscreen. Driver, Opening rear doors. A little wear to the transfers. Green plastic wheels. Well-shaped, as-new tyres with ‘BRITAINS LTD’ embossed. Late 1956 version.
Deep red lift-off lidded card box has a complete and colourful large paper label. A little age/storage wear especially at edges and some lid corner repairs.
