Notes
Rare to come to the market place, this Austin Somerset model is finished in a distinctive deep blue with lighter blue ridged wheels, smooth well-shaped tyres.
Fine original silver detailing at radiator, bumpers and headlights.
Shiny base. ‘Austin Somerset’ cast on the underside of the roof.
A few tiny rubs and mini=ute examination under magnification finds a few very small retouches.
The harder to find early box bears both the old numbering 40J and not the later numbering 161 (the change-over occurring in 1954). A little grubbiness/wear.
A very difficult colour variation to find.
