Notes
An early example – made during one year only – 1948! A scarce Bedford truck finished in red and black with red wheels. We surmise part of a very small run made toward the end of this year.
We have only ever seen just two others!
This Bedford Articulated Lorry presents very well indeed. Red with black wings and wheels arches, red platform and coupling for the spare wheel. Earliest style fuel tank with no ‘over hang’ from the platform above. Smooth black well-shaped tyres, with the exception of the trailer wheels which are herringbone (earliest issue therefore). No window glazing on these early issues. Complete 20mph sign is in place at the rear. Original tyres run well. Dinky Supertoys on the shiny base.
Hard to find a mark to the paint finish. A little stray black paint smudging on one side in a small area (probably factory).
The deep green card box has a complete paper label. Very minor wear.
