Dinky Toys 291 London Bus "Exide"
London Bus "Exide" by Dinky Toys, No. 291. Cast wheel issue. Near mint plus/boxed. Nice box! From The Denis Tyler Collection. Starting bid £100. Please note that QDT apply 12.5% buyer's commission.
Notes
Issued between 1961-62, this model has a lustrous, vivid red paint finish with red diecast hubs, as-new fine tread tyres, a Leyland grille. Complete ‘Exide Batteries’ transfers on both sides. ‘73’ on destination boards at front and rear are intact too.
Notably, this bus has lost none of its colour vibrancy.
At first (and even second!) glance, this model looks mint. It is only upon close scrutiny under a strong light, that a few touch-ins may be seen.
Vivid yellow card picture box is clean and bright. Complete with all end flaps. Looks rarely handled.
