A special museum-grade Minic Gift Set made for a short time at the start of production, 1938-39.
A wonderful and rare survivor – this unused old shop stock Gift Set comprises:
1) Minic 5M Limousine in warm brown & chrome. With Shell Petrol Tank. Smooth white tyres (minor crazing). Plated wheels. Minor marking to chrome.
2) Minic 19M Cabriolet in deep cool brown & chrome. With Shell Petrol Tank. Smooth white tyres (minor crazing). Plated wheels. Minor marking to chrome.
3) Minic 4M Sports Saloon in grey & chrome. . With Shell Petrol Tank. Smooth white tyres (minor crazing). Plated wheels. Minor marking to chrome.
4) Minic 8M Open Tourer in two-tone green. Wooden seating. With Shell Petrol Tank. Smooth white tyres (minor crazing). Plated wheels.
5) No. 1M Ford 100 Saloon in grey. With petrol tank. Smooth white tyres (minor crazing & tyre flat spots to rear).
Clockwork mechanisms are untested due to age. All mechanisms look fine.
With still-sealed pack of early keys and brochure.
Correct plain slotted inner has only the most minor wear – remarkable given the age of this set.
Beautifully illustrated colourful lift-off lid card box adds to the appeal of this set. Eye-catching and the colours are still so vibrant! Light ‘foxing’ and minor wear.
Light wear only – very well-stored and barely handled over the past 80 plus years.
