Notes
Sought-after models that are so difficult to find in good condition! Dinky dies were sold to the Indian Firm S. Kumar & Co. trading as Atamco. (1968-70). Often known as Indian-Dinky toys, the finish was poor in comparison.
This ‘E’ Type Jaguar model is finished in a distinctive light metallic green with a detachable black hood. Original windscreen is intact but has a small (probably factory) blemish.
Occasional small chip/flake to the paint finish.
An early issue since the Dinky lettering on the baseplate is still partially visible with just the letters ‘DIN’ blanked out (so ‘KY’ and ‘TOYS’ still visible), as well as the original lettering ‘Jaguar ’E’ Type from Dinky. No reference to the Indian manufacturer made on the base of this early Nicky Toys model.
The box (to Nicky toys standard) presents quite well although there is some wear at end flaps. Small internal end flap tear.
