One of the larger scale pre-Corgi Delivery Van models produced by the Mettoy Company 1952-55.
1:35 scale.
This ‘EXPRESS DELIVERY’ Van, model has a pleasing sky blue finish with silver trim and complete lettering on both sides. Opening rear doors. One-piece black rubber wheels/tyres. Working clockwork motor including the brake function.
A few minor marks/dot reotuches.
The fragile outer box is an especially rare to find too. Lightweight thin card which wears over time particularly bearing in mind the weight of the model. Colours are strong and the graphics add to the appeal of this item. Note that it has been repaired and that it is incomplete.
A rare find in any condition and a wonderful statement piece in your collection.
