Notes
An exciting stash of U.S. export Armstrong Siddeley models contained in the shopkeeper’s Trade Box with original dividers. Obviously these mdels are the originals from the Trade Box showing absoloutely minimal handling. Fine lustre. Some tyre flat spots shows that they have been left undisturbed within the Trade Box for decades.
Two different colour issues are offered, each with coloured wheels. From 1950:
1) 3 x mid grey versions with deeper grey ridged wheels, deep mid-blue interior. Intact original screens.
2) Mid-green version with deeper green ridged wheels. Deep grey interior. Intact original screens. Extra sweep of factory green paint to two examples. As-made.
The sturdy lift-off lid shopkeeper’s trade box is complete and presents well. Straw-coloured card with (mostly) untarnished staples. Age/storage wear. Faintly witten in red pen ‘104’ on one short lid end. Notably, all the original dividers are still in place to avoid contact damage.
