With such a fine sheen on this most eye-catching of Dinky commercial trucks, this rare version is tempting for any serious Dinky collector.
Finished in a slightly deeper red (when compared with the slightly later version in scarlet red and pale grey with blue plastic wheels.
Blue “DINKY SERVICE” lettering, window glazing, and blue metal wheels. All original condition with complete Dinky Service’ lettering on both sides.
This late colour combination, of course, is more usually found with plastic wheels.
Complete, original and in very close to mint condition with such a fine lustre to the original paint finish.
Silky matt baseplate. As-new original black knobbly tyres. Late plastic-cuffed winding handle.
The bright and clean correct later yellow box is complete and free of graffiti.
Bright staples. Light storage/handling wear. Note the Dinky stamp inside the box lid dates this particular example from 1961. With Dinky Quality Control Tag.
