Tekno Gift Set 851 EXPO 58
EXPO 58 Gift Set by Tekno Models, No. 851. Includes 852 Mercedes Truck & 2 x Tekno 853 Mercedes Trailers.Very, very near mint/boxed, with card packing. Rare set produced for 'Expo 58 Bois Manu'. This exceptional set comprises:
1) 852 Mercedes Truck with ‘Bois Manu’ on base. Finished in light blue & pale grey with yellow plastic roof insert. Shiny spun wheels and fine-tread, well-shaped supple original tyres. Deeper blue rivetted base with ‘Made for Boismanu Belgium 1958’.
Transfers are fine as are the Mercedes emblems at the sides and rear. Tow hook.
2) 2 × 853 matching Mercedes Trailers with Bois Manu Belgium 1958 on the deep blue rivetted bases. Couple pf the tiniest transfer nicks to one. The other has absolutely complete transfers. Each complete with shiny tow-bars and intact tow hooks. Matching bright spun wheels and supple original tyres are well-shaped.
Nice to see the card packing piece is still present:
End flap style card box is clean, bright and fresh, showing minimal handling. Remains of a price label on an end flap but no surface loss to the box at this site.
A desirable and are Tekno set, rare to come to the market place.
