Corgi Toys 301 Triumph TR2
Triumph TR2 Sports Car by Corgi Toys, No. 301. Very, very near mint /boxed with promotional booklet. Cream version with scarlet seats, bare metal steering wheel & flat spun wheels. Scarce. From The Fenman Collection.
Notes
This exciting Corgi car was made between 1956-61, in two different colour finishes. The model has a lustrous cream paint finish, scarlet red seats, bare metal steering wheel, flat spun wheels, early baseplate (couple of discoloured areas, looks as-made)), and an intact original windscreen. Fine-tread original tyres are as-new. An impressive model from Corgi – especially considering that this car was made during the first year of production!
The paint finish is fine and glossy – hard to find the merest mark! Note that under minute scrutiny a couple of factory touch-ins may be seen.
The early blue picture box is complete and bright if looking rather grubby now.
