Corgi Toys 471 Smith's Mobile Canteen 'JOE'S DINER'
Smith's-Karrier Mobile Canteen by Corgi Toys, No. 471. Very near mint/boxed. From The Coastline Collection.
Notes
A delightful model from Corgi issued between 1965-66 with ingenious “glowing” Trans-O-Lite lighting. Glossy, original paint finish throughout. Spring suspension on shaped spun wheels, and the chef rotates when the knob on the roof is turned. Complete “Snack Bar” and “Joe’s Diner” labels too.
Chip to the lower rim of the opening hatch (quite hard to avoid marking the paint finish here). Hard to fault otherwise.
The box is complete and bright, showing light age/handling wear only. Crisp feel. Period penned shop price on an end flap. No leaflet.
