Graham Hill's Ford Cortina GXL by Corgi Toys, No. 313. Scarce promotional maize yellow or mustard colour issue. Rarest issue with RIGHT-HAND drive. With WHIZZWHELLS on box reverse. Very near mint/boxed, with perspex packing piece. Another premium model from The Bluehouse Collection of Whizzwheel models.
Notes
According to an ex-employee of Ford who was involved in the ordering of this maize yellow or mustard issue from Corgi, this model was commissioned at the time of the launch of the real car. These maize models were made just prior to the standard release colours which ran from 1970-73.
Maize yellow promotional/export issue. Right-hand drive issue.
In very close to mint condition.
With figure of Graham Hill and ‘CORTINA’ label at the front. Spoked detail Whizzwheels with suspension.
Tiny factory paint miss a a rear wing.
Red and yellow window box is really very crisp, bright and clean. With WHIZZWHELLS on box reverse. Original cellophane (small tear).
Barely any wear otherwise. Period price on an end flap.
