Purchased by a Corgi specialist, this is one of a cache of mid 1960’s models which included colour trial models, donated to Barnardo’s Charity upon the death of a relative. The Barnardo’s charity shop is located just a few minutes from the old Corgi headquarters….
Issued between 1966-69, this colour trial model has an original white finish, moulded bright red interior, white base (production version has a grey base). No racing stripes on the colour trial model.
Spring suspension on all four untarnished wire wheels. Opening doors. Opening bonnet reveals a detailed body colour engine. Fine original late issue nylon tyres with Corgi toys embossed. Rivetted base.
Few marks to the paint finish.
Correct that this colour trial model would be unboxed.
