Notes
It has been a while since we have offered this version for sale! The transporter has a very attractive bright mid-blue finish throughout (usual finish is light blue), with fawn decks. 582 stamped on the trailer. “DINKY TOYS DELIVERY SERVICE” lettering in deep blue on both sides and back – virtually complete -complete. No window glazing version.
Displays superbly with a high lustre throughout.
Complete with a fine black grille and bumper with both headlights present. Occasional small mark to the paint finish. 20 mph sign at the rear. The original tyres run well. A very eye-catching Dinky commercial.
Closest inspection finds a couple of little touch-ins to the paint.
The deep blue lift-off box, however, is one of the most unusual box presentations for any Dinky commercial model. Many collectors may be unfamiliar with this plain, deep blue, lift-off lid box with the Dinky label at one end.
The box has excellent strong colours with not even a hint of sunfading. Shiny staples. Paper label has a couple of edge nibbles and light wear.
Light age wear generally and a small water wrinkle to the surface paper covering in one small area of the lid.
With both packing wedges:
An excellent and rare find.
