Nicky (Dinky) Toys 194 Bentley S Coupe
Bentley S Coupe by Nicky/Dinky Toys, No. 194. Scarce issue in silver with SILVER INTERIOR. Very near mint/boxed, with card packing ring. From The Berlin Collection.
Notes
Sought after models that are so difficult to find in good condition! Dinky dies were sold to the Indian Firm S. Kumar & Co. trading as Atamco. (1968-70). Often known as Indian-Dinky toys, the finish was poor in comparison.
This example is a difficult version to find and has fared better than many of these ‘Indian Dinky’ models.
This Bentley model is finished in all-silver, with a silver interior, a black ‘tonneau’, and comes complete with original driver and intact screen. Intact shiny bumpers.
Downgraded due to a little as -made casting mark on the bonnet Hard to fault otherwise.
One-piece plastic wheel and tyre construction. Often found in poor state, these are well-shaped and run easily. Intact chrome bumpers, radiator.
The distinctive ‘Nicky Toys’ box has some of the usual handling wear (i.e. edge scuffing). Nice to see the original little card packing ring present.
This ‘honorary’ Dinky is scarce and charming in equal measure.
