Nicky 239 Vanwall Racing Car
Vanwall Racing Car by Nicky (Dinky) Toys, No. 239. Metallic red version. Very near mint/boxed. Scarce. From A Phenomenal Collection.
Notes
Sought after models that are so difficult to find in good condition! Dinky dies were sold to the Indian Firm S. Kumar & Co. trading as Atamco. (1968-70). Often known as Indian-Dinky toys, the finish was poor in comparison.
A really very close to mint example finished in a rich metallic red with original silver details, blue plastic driver, steering wheel. Original sliver details. Black plastic one-piece tyres/wheels.
Racing number 35 transfers are intact, save for a tiny nick to one.
The colourful correct box (ATAMCO P LTD. Calcutta) is clean and complete, with a crisp feel. Some of the usual wear, but it is better than many we have seen!
