Corgi Toys 1106 CONTROLTAC 3M Mack Container Truck

An exceptionally difficult find, this is a period promotional item commissioned by 3M to promote CONTROLTAC, made in limited numbers and sent out to chosen prospective customers.
Note that this promotional version has a silver chassis and bumper (standard version issued (1972-77) has a red chassis and bumper).
Finished in vibrant yellow and white with a red interior, intact delicate black plastic parts. Complete ‘CONTROLTAC 3M’ labels on the plastic containers. Complete ‘3M’ logo on the bonnet. ‘Long vehicle’ label at the rear.

In very close to mint condition.

Supplied in a special polystyrene case (couple of minor edge nibbles to the lid and a start of a break to one side of the box). The lift-off lid bears the logo in blue:

‘MAKING YOUR IDENTITY STICK
OR
VEHICLE MARKING MADE EASY’

Deep yellow key ring with printed promotional information on both sides.
All contained within the original plain white card box. Storage wear and minor loss to the surface of the card in one small area due to tape removal. Pencilled writing.
