Corgi Toys 256 VW Safari & Rhino
1200 in East African Safari Trim with Rhino by Corgi Toys, No. 256. Near mint plus/boxed. RIGHT-HAND drive version. Scarce. From The Berlin Collection.
Notes
A very popular Corgi model – this right-hand drive version is in close to mint condition, with a fine and gleaming scarlet paint finish. Notably complete and fresh detailed bonnet label, complete door numbers and “Nairobi” label. Unmarked chrome bumpers, wheels, baseplate, and sparkling jewelled headlights. Rhino.
Just a few minor marks to the paint finish. Note the spare tyre on the roof has been replaced (some wear).
The colourful card plinth on which car and rhino sit is a most attractive display piece. Crisp, very fresh card.
Vividly-coloured backdrop for this model. Both end pull tabs are present and are in firm position, tight to the card plinth. No wheel slot tears.
Box reverse has lots of information about the “Beetle”.
The outer box is continues the theme; crisp, bright, and complete, with eye-catching graphics. Lots of end flap spring. Little penned number on an end flap and very light wear.
No leaflet.
