Corgi 228
Corgi 228 Volvo P.1800. Beige, red interior. Scarce. Very near mint/boxed. From The Eric Morris Collection.
Notes
Issued between 1962-65 in a variety of colour finishes. After 1965, this car became the Saints Volvo (renumbered Corgi 258).
This example has a fresh gleaming deep beige finish with silver detailing at raised body lines, bumpers, radiator.
Displays beautifully with shining shaped spun wheels and jewelled headlights. Fine, well-shaped original tyres.
Hard to find a mark to the paint finish, although note there are some stray factory silver strokes on one side.
The picture box is complete and bright, with a crisp feel. Light grubbiness/wear.
Not an easy colour variation to find.
