Notes
What a fine Gift Set! Inspired by the t.v. show ‘The Avengers’, this is a close to mint example, issued between 1966-69.
It comprises:
1) John Steed’s Bentley in red and black finish, complete with all parts, and including the figure of John Steed at the wheel.
In very near mint condition with a few small marks on the black running boards.
2) Emma Peel’s Lotus Elan S2 is in white finish. There are no marks to the paint, although the paint has a ‘bubbly’ finish and the bonnet is a slightly different shade to the rest of the car. Suspension is not present on one wheel.
This set comes with two plastic umbrellas!
Inner card plinth is in excellent condition with very vibrant atmopspheric graphics.
None of the usual wear and tear at the wheel slots. One of the pull tabs at one end, however, has been skilfully replaced (common fault for one of these tabs to tear off). Original figure of Emma Peel is still in place.
Outer box is in superb condition; complete, fresh and bright with barely any age wear at all – just very minor wear in a couple of places.
Shopkeeper’s price is neatly written at one end flap.
Also included (and often missing!) is the original white wrap-around card packing piece and Corgi Club Membership Form:

A beautiful, sought-after Gift Set.
