Corgi 1127
Corgi 1127 Simon Snorkel Fire Engine. Very near mint/boxed. Scarce issue in card box with CARD lower half of box. With leaflet. Very nice! From The David Frank Collection.
Notes
A popular Corgi model from the Major Packs Emergency Vehicle range of toys.
The Simon Snorkel fire engine was made between 1964-74. This example has a Bedford cab, spun wheels, 6 firemen, water cannon, extending and rotating boom. Original fine tread tyres are well-shaped. Version with gold boom jointed pipes.
Occasional little mark as you might expect.
Harder to find version with fitted card insert (instead of the polystyrene tray). A couple of tears due to model movement.
The lift-off lid card box is an early issue with lots of bright atmospheric artwork on the lid.
Barely any wear at all; vibrant strong colours. Crisp and clean. .
