Notes
A truly beautiful and memorable display pice, this unique Corgi is composed of solid silver. With the casting from Corgi 200 British Leyland Mini 1000, this model has opening doors, interior detail and the Whizzwheel design on the wheels.
This model was produced by a jeweller in Birmingham who was proposing to release a range of solid silver models from the Corgi range. Model weighs 195 grams approx.
This project never came to fruition although this Mini model was sent to Marcel Van Cleemput, Chief Designer for Corgi. It is believed to be the only model from this range made.
Note that the Corgi logo was removed at time of making, although the other details remain.
Included is the Sotheby’s Auction Tag with the stamped date Dec. 1999 and a copy of the page from the catalogue.
